Privacy & GDPR

Your data prepares your briefing. Nothing else.

v1.0 · July 2026 · plain English by intent · legal review required before publication
The short version
We collect the minimum needed to write your brief and run your membership. It is never sold, never rented, never shared with advertisers, and never used to build a profile for anyone but you. One request erases everything. Opt-out is one click, below.

1 · Who is responsible

thedailybrief ("we") is the data controller. The service is operated from the United Kingdom and complies with UK GDPR and, for members in the European Union, EU GDPR. Data protection contact: privacy@thedailybrief.ai.

2 · What we hold, and why

Marketing beyond the briefings you signed up for happens only with separate, explicit consent — and we currently send none.

3 · Who touches it (processors)

Each processes data under contract, only on our instruction. No data leaves this list without this page changing first.

4 · The Insider model, and confidentiality

If you subscribe to Insider, the context you give us — your company domain, your goals, your questions — is used to train your private model and curate your briefings. It is never pooled across members, never used to train models for anyone else, and never shared. Cancel, and it is deleted with the rest of your record.

5 · How long we keep it

For as long as you hold a place on the ledger. Unsubscribe and your delivery data goes immediately; your ledger record is erased in full within 30 days unless you ask us to keep your number reserved. Billing records are retained only as long as tax law requires, then destroyed.

6 · Your rights

7 · Opt out

One request · no questions · no retention screens

Enter the email your place is held under and choose what you'd like. Every briefing also carries a one-click unsubscribe — this page is simply the front door.

Insider subscribers: cancelling your subscription is separate from erasure and takes effect at the end of the paid period — manage it any time from the link in your briefings (Paddle billing portal), or simply ask: payments@thedailybrief.ai.

8 · Cookies

The site sets no tracking cookies and no third-party cookies. That is why there is no cookie banner. If this ever changes, this page changes first and consent is asked properly.

9 · Changes

When this notice changes, members are told in the brief itself — not by a silent edit. The current version always lives at this address.
