thedailybrief ("we") publishes AI intelligence for decision-makers. The service is operated from the United Kingdom. Registration places your details on a members' register we call the ledger. Contact: hello@thedailybrief.ai or the contact desk. Privacy in full: privacy & GDPR.
At registration we collect: first name, email address, company, sector and seat (role). We use these to prepare your briefing, operate your membership, and — only if you opt in — arrange introductions. Our lawful bases are contract (delivering the membership you requested) and legitimate interest (personalising editorial content for the audience it is written for). Marketing beyond the briefings you signed up for happens only with consent.
Issues may carry one Partner Note — a single sponsored placement, always clearly marked, written in our voice, and separated from editorial. Partners buy access to the audience's attention, never to the audience's data: no member data is shared with, sold to, or enriched for any partner. Sector-targeted notes use aggregate lens counts only ("reaches N hospitality readers"), never identities. No story runs because a partner would like it to; no story is held because a partner wouldn't.
Drafting is AI-assisted: editorial agents read public sources, cluster events and draft against our four-question standard; validation agents trace every claim to a primary source. Nothing publishes without human approval — the Editor signs every issue, and corrections print at the top of the next one. Questions you send to the brief are used to answer you and to improve the service; they are never republished or attributed.
We aim to run without tracking cookies. Analytics are privacy-first and aggregate (page counts, not people). If that ever changes, this page changes first, and consent is asked properly — no walls of toggles.
As we introduce interactive formats — live briefings, the Boardroom Table, and in time virtual- and augmented-reality experiences — participation will always be opt-in per event, with its own plain-English notice covering what is recorded (if anything), what a headset or client shares, and how long it is kept. The rule carries over unchanged: the room is confidential, recordings are never sold, and presence at an event never becomes marketing data.
The brief is intelligence, not advice. We work to be accurate, cite primary sources and correct visibly, but decisions you take remain yours — nothing here is legal, financial or investment advice. The service is provided "as is" during the founding period; if we ever wind down, the ledger is deleted, not sold.
When these terms change, members are told in the brief itself — not by a silent edit. The current version always lives at this address.
